Strategic and Tactical Consulting for Technology Companies
and Investors
Cogit Group works with both
technology-focused companies and the venture capitalists that
fund them.
Cogit helps technology companies
ensure that their business is aligned with core technology. Providing strategic and tactical assistance, Cogit
works with companies on an ongoing or defined project basis.
We've worked with firms trying to keep up with heady growth
expectations, as well as making sure that the lights stay on
in down markets.
Cogit assists venture capitalists
by investigating potential investments, providing in-depth
analysis that quantifies risks and opportunities. We
help fill in the gaps when a partner wants an unbiased,
outside opinion. We can provide an initial impression
before that first round of funding, triage a faltering
investment that might or might not merit a follow-on round, or
work-out a problem investment with some residual value.
Scope of Work - Working with Companies
We help in one of two ways; helping senior execs think
through the key issues facing their business with additional
experience, perspective and range, or providing hands-on
services to deliver specific projects. We're either the
extra CxO at the conference table or the needed Director for a
single task.
Cogit provides
extra horsepower to small companies, augmenting internal
capabilities with work in:
Scope of Work - Working with VCs
When the investment decision isn't quite clear, we help
partners think through the plusses and minuses by providing a
second opinion. We will do a simple, one day review or
an extensive market and intellectual property review - or
anything in between - to help you determine whether or how
aggressively you want to invest. We specialize in
early-stage investments and technology restarts.
What We Do Differently
Since we've worked
with hundreds of technology firms, we've seen a tremendous
range of strategies, market approaches, and degrees of
success. We can tell you what other companies have
tried, how it applies to your situation, what did (and didn't)
work, and what we think is your best option.
